Playing Card
Design
Here’s the detailed process I used to meticulously create my final playing card design for my Texas State Technical College project.

The client expressed a clear desire for a unique and visually captivating design for a complete set of 52 playing cards, along with an additional two jokers. Their primary goal was to create a striking alternative that would stand out from the typical designs found in standard playing cards. In response to this vision, I developed a concept centered around the theme of the solar system and humanity's place within it. For the number cards, I represented the basic planets, highlighting the vast abundance and diversity of these celestial bodies. The face cards feature the sun and other solar entities, with the sun designated as the king, the moon as the queen, and Pluto alongside a mythical planet referred to as “Planet X” serving as the two jokers.
Final Thoughts
And Design
This project has profoundly taught me the immense value of colors and the diverse ways in which they harmoniously work well together to create visually stunning compositions. The simplistic style, combined with the intricate and thoughtfully conceived designs featured on the face cards, significantly enhances the luxurious feeling of the overall presentation, making it truly remarkable. Additionally, this enriching experience has provided me with invaluable knowledge in the essential realms of printing, cutting, and handcrafting my own unique creations using my personal supplies and resources. I hold this experience in exceptionally high regard, as I have a deep passion for hands-on work and intricate processes that allow for meaningful creative expression and exploration.
