From the initial sketching phase to the careful assembly of the box, I dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to create this unique piece for an assignment at Texas State Technical College located in Waco.

The client expressed a desire for a fun and exciting package design specifically tailored for their dog treats. To begin the process, I started by sketching three unique variations of the package design and then showcased these concepts to the client for their feedback. After careful consideration, I decided to incorporate a small window on the back of the package to allow potential buyers to see the delicious treats inside, while also placing an appealing image of a dog on the front. The design featured various dog-related elements around the exterior of the package to create visual interest. One package design was focused on celebrating dog love, adorned with playful hearts. Another design highlighted adorable dog paw prints, while the third prominently featured a dog itself on the front of the package. Ultimately, it was this last design that captured the client's attention and is the one they chose to move forward with.

And Design

Working on this particular project provided me with invaluable knowledge of placement and product design in general, particularly as I utilized the provided template to meticulously layout my designs in a proper and aesthetically pleasing manner. I incorporated intricate emblems on the back to give distinct character to the “Handmade” and “100% Pure Love” copy that is prominently showcased on the back, alongside a thoughtfully crafted mission statement blurb. I genuinely had immense fun engaging in this creative process, collaborating closely with my instructor, as well as printing out and carefully assembling the package, which added to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
